After spending some time working with grooms at the
racetrack, I discovered that those involved in the care of horses, try to
COMMUNICATE, and how frustrating it is when they cannot do it because of
language barriers.
Many of the grooms are Spanish speakers who
came to US without speaking much English. Though they are trying their best,
most find they do not have time to learn the language as needed.
I have compiled this manual in English and fully
translated to Spanish, to help make their lives and others’, easier. This
manual is also useful to vets, chaplains, horse dentists, owners, etc, to read
the material in English, learn more about specifics, and use the Spanish
section to communicate what they want and visa-versa for the Spanish
speakers.
